We offer French as a foreign language in De La Salle College. The aim of the new specification for Junior Cycle is to enable students to develop their oral competency by encouraging active engagement in language activities and tasks while also promoting their capacity to understand and express themselves in written and spoken language. Above all the approach is student centred, encouraging students to be active and reflective in their own learning.
At Junior cycle, students currently have 4 classes a week in French recognising and valuing the benefits of learning a foreign language and appreciating another culture.
