West Cork Podcast
Over the past few months our Transition Year students have been studying the acclaimed West Cork Podcast. Named by Time magazine as one of its top podcasts and lauded by documentary maker Louis Theroux, West Cork is a 13-part podcast series delving into the murder of French filmmaker Sophie Toscan du Plantier at her holiday home near the Cork seaside village of Schull almost 27 years ago. The English Department invited Jennifer Forde, the podcast creator who has previously worked for the BBC, to speak to Transition Year students over Zoom last Tuesday. Students were able to submit questions to the documentary producer as she gave them insight and answers into a case that has perplexed the Irish justice system for over two decades.
