Steven Bradley from 5th Year in De la Salle College Macroom will be travelling to Portugal this autumn as part of the Irish team to compete in the IWAS World Games. The International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation World Games will be held in Vila Real de Santo Antonio, Portugal from November 30th to December 6th this year. The IWAS games support and encourage the development of athletic pathways within the Paralympics movement through multi-sports events hosted worldwide. Steven will take part in the 400 metre and 800 metre races and also in the discus and javelin.

Steven is a member of the Rebel Wheelers Sports Club and trains with John McCarthy in Cork on a weekly basis. Steven also trains with Colette O Riordan of the West Muskerry Athletics Club in Macroom. Steven has competed in schools competitions with De la Salle College under the guidance of Mr. Jim Quinn.
