Simcox Success:

A comfortable 2-16 to 3-3 victory over Rochestown College today sees the school through to yet another semi-final of the Simcox Cup. Our opponents will be Clonakilty Community College.

TY Hike To Gearagh:

Our Transition Year students participated in a hike to the Gearagh today to raise funds for their activities over the coming year.

Last Gasp Victory:

A very late goal saw De la Salle overcome Coachford College by 2 points in the replay of the Munster Colleges U-15 B championship today. The score was 5-5 to 4-10 and the game was played in Canovee.

Parent-Teacher Meetings:

Wednesday 18th October, 2017

The postponed Parent-Teacher meeting for parents of 6th Years will now be held on Monday, November 6th, from 4.15 to 6.45pm.The meeting for parents of Third Year students will go ahead as planned on Thursday October 26th, also from 4.15 to 6.45pm.

We had a comfortable 3-15 to 1-9 win over Clonakilty Community College in the first group match in the Corn Uí Mhuirí today, the game having been played Kilmurry. Our next outing is against Coláiste Choilm from Ballincollig on November 8th.

School Re-opens:

The school will reopen as normal on tomorrow, Wednesday 17th October.

School to Remain Closed:

Monday 16th October, 2017

The Department of Education has instructed all schools to remain closed on tomorrow, October 17th. It is expected that classes will now resume as normal on Wednesday.

Hurricane Ophelia:

Sunday 15th October, 2017

The Department of Education has instructed all schools in the areas subject to a Red Weather Warning not to open tomorrow, October 16th. Accordingly, De la Salle will remain closed tomorrow but it is expected that all will be back to normal on Tuesday. Stay safe!

Disappointment for Hurlers:

Our senior hurling team lost out to Davis College, Mallow, today in the first round of the Cork Schools' C championship.

Parent-Teacher Meeting:

Exciting Draw in Munster Football:

De la Salle came from behind to salvage a 6-12 to 7-9 draw today against Coachford College in the first round of the Munster Schools' U-15 B football championship.

First Year Bonding Trip:

Junior Cert Results:

The Junior Cert results arrived this morning and all were pleased with how they got on, including some very high grades for many students.

Transition Years in Castletown:

Some of our Transition Years, both Class Prefects and 1st Year mentors, travelled to De la Salle headquarters in Castletown in County Laois over the weekend to participate in a leadership course.
